World Record Fishing Key West

John Hauprich is all smiles as he displays an Almaco Jack caught on six lb. test line. Fish weighed in at 17.8 pounds and was approved by the IGFA as a world record.
John continued to try and best his first fish (the Almaco Jack above) and was rewarded with a 20.8 pound Mutton snapper caught on 6 lb. test. Since John holds the current world record mutton snapper for 6 lb. line class, the Mutton snapper pictured here will mean he will beat his own world record set two years ago while fishing aboard with me aboard the "Looney Tunes" His fish was approved by the IGFA as a world record.

Suzanne holds a really awesome catch on 6 lb. test line. This Almaco weighed in at 20.8  and was approved by the IGFA as a world record. Great job Suzanne !

Lets face it, you two amaze me.
After weeks of conditions that would not allow fishing for these records, you picked the perfect day and mother nature gave you your wish for more record fishing.
Thanks for a fun day!! Capt. Carl Rees
